Experience
Sasanokawa Yamazakura Junmai-Shu Sake has a rich aroma of shiratama and marshmallow, scents of green apple, young banana and fresh greenery. A refreshing acidity and sweetness with a pleasant bitterness with unami on the finish. Sake with Junmai-Shu in its name bears the credit of not holding distilled additives, richer and fuller body with subtle acidity.
Distillery
The sake brewing of “Sasanokawa,” established in 1765, has endured the challenges over many generations. The name, “Sasanokawa,” symbolizes their resilience, resembling the flexible bamboo grass that withstands strong winds like the northern wind of Michinoku breeze.
